A Message from A foreigner in War Between Thai to Cambodia

For the past 15 years, I have lived, worked, invested in, and helped grow and develop beautiful Cambodia, a country I proudly call my second home. During this time, I’ve come to deeply respect and admire the Cambodian people for their honesty, hard work, kindness, and resilience.

It truly hurts my heart to witness the current tensions between Cambodia and Thailand, two neighbors with rich histories and shared interests.

I believe this situation must be resolved peacefully and respectfully, without any form of bullying or aggression. Cambodia deserves fairness, and I stand with its people and leadership wholeheartedly.

Let us not forget that in 1962, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that the sacred Preah Vihear temple rightfully belongs to Cambodia. That ruling was reaffirmed in 2013, confirming that the surrounding land is also Cambodian territory. Yet despite these clear decisions, border tensions have continued.

Cambodia has now approached the ICJ again for further clarity, while Thailand has rejected the court’s jurisdiction and prefers bilateral talks. Recent clashes, especially in the Chong Bok region have only made things worse.

Prime Minister Hun Manet and former Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen are working tirelessly to restore peace through dialogue and diplomacy.

I admire their leadership, and I offer my full support, both personally and professionally, to contribute to peace, understanding, and cooperation between the two nations.

As a solution strategist and someone formally connected to the government, I am ready to help in any way, shape, or form to restore peace, happiness, and mutual respect.

I urge the international media and the public not to fall for false narratives. Now is the time for wisdom, not division, for progress, not provocation.

To the Cambodian people……I stand by you, always.
