Sihanouk Ville and China’s Qingdao port agreed on direct shipping

SIHANOUK VILLE, The direct cargo shipping from Cambodia to Qingdao, China is no longer requiring third country shipment as Sihanouk Ville deep-water port and Qingdao port reach a mutual agreement.

During a meeting on 22nd January with governor of Sihanouk Ville, Mr. Yun Min, Mr. Lui Jiangjun deputy governor of Qingdao city said the link between two major ports will help to grow a better economic and business of the two countries. He adds, Sihanouk Ville port and Qingdao port’s corporation commit the better transportation. While Qingdao has welcomed 100 million tourists in 2018, they hope that Qingdao and Sihanoukville will also extend working on better tourism.

Mr. Lui Jiangjun also invite Mr. Yun Min, governor of Sihanouk Ville to lead the delegation to join the beer season greeting in the province of Qingdao province to taste new wine and to enhance relations and cooperation between the two provinces closer.

Mr. Yun Min, governor of Sihanouk Ville stated with an international class port, Sihanouk Ville has a big potential. The deep-water port has a globally connecting in shipment and it now serves about 73 percent of the import and export volume crossing the country.

The governor also vowed to welcome Chinese investors who are after the Chines president’s One Belt One Road policy to develop Sihanouk Ville swiftly and urge to promote its potential and to welcome more Chinese investors.
