Phnom Penh, domestic investors and real estate experts in Cambodia continue to have positivity even though some projects have been delayed.

Ann Sothida, country director of CBRE Cambodia, said by phone on the afternoon of February 7 that some projects had been delayed due to the lack of real expertise in the company and the sale of the company in the market or because the import of building materials is in slow process, but property sector in Cambodia still continue to be better.

However, she acknowledged that, “the delay of some projects has some problems for the market, but the delay in the construction sector is not a problem.”

Kheang Puthy, president of the Cambodian Real Estate Association , said that the real estate sector in Cambodia has continued to be good, but it is simple when it comes to business and some are closed. However, it depends on the efforts of the company’s leaders and project owners.

“When there are many construction projects that are competitive, so when there are competitors, the company has a lot of resources, experiences and management, and it’s very successful,” he said. “When the company has a poor experience, it is going to fail. ”

However, Mr. Puthy, do not worry too much about this issue, saying that, “we are optimistic for the development and growth of Cambodia.

Oknha Sear Rithy, a founding and council board director of the World Bridge Group, said that the real estate sector in 2019 did not have any problems because the remainder of investment in 2018 continues until 2019.

“For 2019, this is the year of production and development, and the trade in the sector is still well underway and the same, but when it comes to investment growth, I think it is similar to that of 2018,” he said. “.
